Add AIgateway as a custom OpenAI-compatible provider in Cursor.

Cursor's settings let you override the OpenAI base URL. Pointing it at AIgateway unlocks Claude, Gemini, Kimi, Llama, and every other model without leaving the Cursor UI.

Setup

Three steps or fewer.

STEP 01

Override the OpenAI base URL

Cursor → Settings → Models → enable Custom OpenAI Base URL. Paste https://api.aigateway.sh/v1 and your AIgateway key. Set the model to any provider/slug from our catalog.

STEP 02

Pick a model

In Cursor's model dropdown, type the slug — for example anthropic/claude-opus-4.7 or moonshot/kimi-k2.6. Same chat panel, different brain.

Notes

Streaming, tool calling, and image attachments work exactly as Cursor expects them.
