DMCA + copyright policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026 · Effective: April 22, 2026

Roushan, Inc. (Dover, Delaware; operator of AIgateway / AI Gateway) respects the intellectual property of others and responds to claims of copyright infringement consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you are a rights holder (or authorized agent) and believe content transmitted through or stored by the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice as described below.

1. About the Service

AIgateway primarily relays API requests to upstream model providers. We do not by default store request or response bodies; we only store them when a customer explicitly opts in by enabling the replay or logs feature. Infringement concerns usually need to be directed to the end customer or the upstream provider — but we will act on a valid DMCA notice for any content we do in fact host.

2. How to submit a takedown notice

A valid DMCA notice must be written and must include the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list).
  3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material with enough detail for us to locate it — ideally a URL, request ID, or dashboard identifier.
  4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Send it to our Designated Agent:

(Also registered with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory.)

3. What happens next

If the notice is valid, we will promptly remove or disable access to the material, notify the affected customer, and, where we host the content on their behalf, forward the notice to them. If the content is transient (a single API response), the notice will be logged and action may be limited to policy enforcement against the customer.

4. Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice under § 512(g)(3) that includes:

  1. Your signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed and its original location.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, email, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district in which you reside (or, if outside the United States, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

Send the counter-notice to dmca@aigateway.sh. Unless the claimant files an action in court within 10–14 business days we will restore the material.

5. Repeat-infringer policy

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

6. False claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents in a notice or counter-notice that content is infringing or was removed by mistake may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

7. Non-U.S. copyright claims

We also accept infringement claims under non-U.S. law. Send them to dmca@aigateway.sh with enough detail for us to assess the claim and act consistent with the law of your jurisdiction.

8. AI outputs + fair use

AI-generated outputs may or may not be subject to copyright depending on the jurisdiction and the substance of human authorship involved. Nothing in this policy constitutes a legal opinion on a specific output. Upstream provider terms may grant or restrict rights in outputs. Consult counsel for case-specific questions.
